ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS

1. Subjects: Written and Oral Examinations.
a. For the first theological degree (eg. B.Th., B.R.E., M.Div.), M.A. degree and Dip.T.S., written and oral exams in Chinese and/or English, and a written religious knowledge exam are required for all applicants. The examination dates will be announced in advance. Overseas applicants may be exempted from taking these examinations in advance when the administration of these examinations is not possible or other arrangements are made to take them upon arrival at LTS. Those who will not be working in churches with Chinese language ministries will be exempted from requirements regarding the Chinese language. However, if their mother tongue is not English, they are required to submit evidence as determined by the seminary of ability in English (written and oral) sufficient for following instruction and pursuing theological study in English.

b. Special Entrance Requirements as described in the LTS Catalogue and the Handbook of the Association for Theological Education in South East Asia and the South East Asia Graduate School of Theology are established for those who intend to study for Master of Sacred Theology (S.T.M.), Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.), Master of Theology (M.Th.) or Doctor of Theology (Th.D.) degrees.
